In fourteen years Interco has established itself as a leading player in the fitout and refurbishment sector of the construction market. The quality and success of its projects can be attested to by many of the blue chip organisations in Sydney, and Interco continues to enjoy repeat business with many of its clients.

Interco's expertise lies in delivering highly complex, technology dependent projects using risk adverse methodology and management techniques.

Our experience and flexibility in managing complex and unusual projects were the key to its selection for the site management of three Olympic overlay projects. Cost, time and presentation were critical for each of the facilities. Cost control was stringent, completion dates immutable, and quality had to be 100% at handover.

Interco's team was on site at the Penrith Whitewater Stadium and Regatta Centre before the main facilities were completed and, over the next 18 months, Interco organised and supervised the installation of facilities for the Test Events, and for the Games themselves.

In addition to fencing, roads, score boards, flag poles and an array of tents and stands, the critical infrastructure of power and data cabling had to be installed to provide flexibility and ease of connection of a vast array of cameras, monitors and communications equipment, fully supported by standby power generation.

The experience and commitment of Interco's site teams also came to the fore during the construction of the Olympic RendezVous@Samsung pavilion at Homebush Bay.

This spectacular facility (pictured above), created from a nondescript car park situated over a sealed toxic waste dump, was transformed by 20 metre high sails stretched over curved supports to form an open hemispherical meeting place with live events and Olympic video coverage. One section of the ground floor was transformed into the Athletes' Centre, another into an exhibition centre for Samsung's latest mobile phone technology, and the void between these spaces was enclosed and blackened to create a lightproof entertainment space for a series of short but spectacular acrobatic acts.
Interco's capacity to take on any challenge is the inspiration behind the company's involvement with the Property Industry Foundation.

As a previous Bronze Donor and current Silver Donor, Interco has been able to contribute to the ongoing work of the Foundation in providing vital support to organisations working with 'at risk' youth.
